KazTransOil Resumes Jet Fuel Handling at Batumi Terminal After 8-Year Break

The Batumi Oil Terminal (BOT) in Georgia, part of the KazTransOil group, resumed jet fuel handling operations in July 2026 after eight years of inactivity, processing JET A1 grade aviation kerosene produced in Europe. The terminal has become a strategic link in the supply chain for delivering European-made aviation fuel to Kazakhstan via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, known as the Middle Corridor. Developing this route is particularly relevant in the context of Kazakhstan's efforts to diversify transit pathways and reduce dependence on traditional routes through Russia. For KazTransOil, this opens a new revenue stream and reinforces the company's role as a key logistics operator in the region.
