Aktobe Region Bonds Listed on KASE to Finance Housing Construction
The Kazakhstan Stock Exchange decided to include in its official listing, under the 'Government Securities' section, bonds of the local executive body of Aktobe region (ticker ABK024_330). The securities, with a face value of 1,000 tenge each, were issued for a total volume of 4,234,816,000 tenge with a 24-month circulation period. The coupon rate is set at 0.35% per annum with semi-annual payments calculated on a 30/360 basis. The proceeds from the placement are directed toward financing housing construction and shared-equity construction programs in the region. Despite the low coupon rate, the status of a government debt instrument makes these securities a relatively reliable investment for conservative investors.
