Billionaire Paulson: Gold Is at the Start of a Long-Term Bull Market
John Paulson, famous for his bet against the mortgage market in 2008, shared an optimistic outlook on gold. He said demand for the precious metal is expanding on multiple fronts: central banks around the world are steadily increasing their gold reserves, while interest from the private sector — both institutional and retail investors — is growing noticeably. Paulson believes we are only at the very beginning of a multi-year bull cycle for gold. He links this trend to global uncertainty, inflationary expectations, and a gradual erosion of confidence in traditional reserve currencies. In his view, current gold price levels do not yet fully reflect the fundamental demand drivers.
