KASE Places Bonds of Six Kazakh Regions Worth Hundreds of Billions of Tenge
The Kazakhstan Stock Exchange held specialized trading sessions during which bonds from six local executive authorities were placed simultaneously, including Akmola region, several other regions, and the city of Shymkent. The securities were offered in the government securities sector, with a circulation period of approximately four years and semi-annual coupon payments. Interest rates range from 14 to 15% per annum, which represents an attractive yield level for tenge-denominated investments in the current inflationary environment. The total issuance volume runs into hundreds of billions of tenge, reflecting significant regional demand for financing infrastructure and social projects. For retail investors, such instruments can serve as a reliable conservative component of a portfolio with guaranteed coupon income.
