KASE releases July review of Kazakhstan's government bond market
KASE published its monthly review of the government securities sector, reflecting the current structure of Kazakhstan's debt market. As of the end of July 2026, the sector included 104 Finance Ministry bond issues, of which 90 were MEKAM (domestic treasury obligations) and 14 were eurobonds. In addition, 4 National Bank note issues, 306 local government bond issues, and 63 foreign issuer bond issues were traded on the exchange. This review gives investors a benchmark of the scale and structure of the domestic debt market and helps assess the availability of various instruments for building the conservative part of a portfolio. For retail investors, government securities remain a core instrument offering predictable returns and low risk within a tenge-denominated portfolio.
