KASE Index Edges Higher as Trading Volumes Jump

Kazakhstan's stock exchange recorded a gain in its benchmark equity gauge, the KASE Index, which rose 0.32% to top 7,897 points. During the session the index showed some volatility, touching both intraday highs and lows before closing in positive territory. Notably, trading activity picked up sharply, with volumes in representative-list stocks jumping more than a third compared to the previous day. This dynamic may point to growing interest from both local and institutional investors in Kazakhstani equities. For private investors, such index moves offer a good opportunity to review portfolio allocation and take a closer look at the exchange's most liquid stocks.
