KASE to host bond placement by the Asian Development Bank
The Kazakhstan Stock Exchange announced that on August 11 its trading system will host a subscription-based primary placement of international bonds issued by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Tengri Partners Investment Banking (Kazakhstan) will act as the seller in the deal. The arrival of bonds from a highly rated supranational institution on the local exchange broadens the pool of reliable instruments available to Kazakhstani investors seeking alternatives to government or corporate debt. Bonds issued by international development institutions are traditionally viewed as among the most conservative fixed-income instruments due to their low default risk. For retail investors, participating in such placements offers a way to diversify a portfolio with high-quality debt without needing to access foreign exchanges.
