Kazakhstan's Finance Ministry places long-term MEUKAM bonds maturing in 7.6 years
The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan held repeat specialized trading on the KASE platform for the placement of long-term government treasury bonds (MEUKAM), with settlement scheduled for August 13, 2026, and a maturity of 7.6 years. These instruments are one of the primary means of financing the state budget and are traditionally in demand among institutional investors—banks, pension funds, and insurance companies—due to their reliability and predictable coupon income. Regular government bond placements also serve as a yield benchmark for Kazakhstan's entire local debt market, influencing the pricing of corporate bonds. For private investors, such securities remain one of the most conservative instruments for preserving capital in tenge.
