Samruk-Kazyna to place 60 million bonds on KASE

The Kazakhstan Stock Exchange held a specialized auction to place coupon bonds SKKZb36 issued by sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna on KASE's main platform in the bonds category. The issue size of 60 million units makes it one of the larger quasi-sovereign debt placements in recent weeks. Proceeds raised through the bonds are typically used by the fund to finance projects of its portfolio companies and support group-wide liquidity. For investors, Samruk-Kazyna bonds are considered among the most reliable instruments on the local debt market given the issuer's quasi-sovereign status, making this placement a useful benchmark for pricing other corporate issues on KASE.
